LEARNING SUPPORT GROUP MEETING (8/3/10)
This Friday, 12 March, immediately after assembly, some teachers from the RTLB Service will present a seminar on the development of a strong oral language foundation. Experience at school has taught us that the strength of a child's vocabulary and ability to converse are strong determiners of their ability to learn to read and write and progress well through the school system. All parents are most welcome to attend this seminar which will be held in the music room. Richard Oswin

LOST PROPERTY (8/3/10)
Any item of lost clothing, which is clearly named, is returned to the pupil via their teacher. However, there is already a considerable amount of clothing in the Lost Property bins that has no name or the label is illegible. We already have nearly 20 unidentifiable polar fleeces. If unclaimed these will all find their way to the 2nd Hand Shop at the end of term. Could all parents please ensure that surnames and not just first names are clearly shown on all of your child’s uniform. It would be gratefully appreciated and may well save the Lost Property volunteers a few extra grey hairs! Thank you.
